Privacy
This site collects as little as possible. There are no cookies and nothing that recognises you across days or pages, so there is nothing to consent to before you read it. All that is counted is how often each page is opened. Beyond that, the only personal data reaching me is what you type into a form and choose to send.

What is collected and when
The enquiry form sends me your name, your email address, the service line you selected, an optional topic and phone number and your message. Nothing on that form is collected unless you press send.
The server records the IP address of a form submission briefly in memory to limit how often the same source can submit. It is not written to a database and does not survive a restart.
The site sets no cookies. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views, deriving an identifier from technical details your browser sends. That identifier changes every day and cannot be traced to a person. So I can see which pages were opened and where visitors came from, not who you are.
Why and on what legal basis
I use your enquiry to answer you and, if we go on to work together, to carry out that work. Ellery is established in the United Arab Emirates and handles personal data under UAE law, in particular Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
Who else sees it
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which processes the technical request data any web server sees, including IP address and browser type. The page view counting runs through Vercel as well. Those figures go no further than that.
Form submissions are delivered by email through Resend, operated by Plus Five Five, Inc. Your message passes through their systems on its way to my inbox.
Fonts are served from this site rather than from Google, so no request is made to Google when you open a page.
Beyond the providers named above, your data goes nowhere. It is not sold, not shared for advertising and not passed to anyone else.
How long it is kept
Enquiries stay in my inbox for as long as the working relationship and the legal record-keeping periods that apply to it require. After that, they are deleted.
Your rights
You can ask what information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for it in a portable form or object to it being processed. Write to michelle@ellery.ae and I will answer within a month.
If you are not satisfied with how I handle a request, you may raise it with the UAE Data Office, which supervises personal data protection in the United Arab Emirates.
